A filter leaves a block of blank rows. An export includes unused columns at the edge of the sheet. Those fully empty rows and columns are clutter. A row that still has one value is not clutter — it is a record with missing cells, and we will not invent data to fill it.

Empty row versus missing values
An empty row has nothing in any cell (after trimming spaces). Those rows can be removed as a safe fix.
A missing value is a blank cell on a row that still has other data — an order without a SKU, a contact without a phone number. We report those as something for you to review. We do not auto-fill them, and we do not delete the row.

- Columns with no heading or data can be dropped
- Partially blank rows are reported, not rewritten
Empty columns
A column is empty only when its heading and every data cell are blank. Named columns are kept, even when every data cell is missing. A column with even one real value is kept, including columns that are mostly empty.
We do not drop a column because it looks unused if it still holds a single ID or a note at the bottom of the sheet.
How to delete blank rows online
Upload a .csv or .xlsx file, up to 10 MB. You get a free analysis: how many completely empty rows, how many empty columns, and what else was found (duplicates, edge spaces, missing cells, formulas).
If the sheet contains formulas, automatic cleaning is disabled. Removing a row in a formula workbook can shift references; we will not take that risk for you.
Keep the original file
Analysis does not overwrite the file on your computer. You review the safe fixes, then download a cleaned copy if you want those changes applied. There is no account. Files we receive are deleted within 24 hours and are not published.
Questions
Will you delete rows that have only some blank cells?
No. Only rows where every cell is empty are removed. Partially blank rows are flagged as missing values and left unchanged.
Do you fill blank cells?
No. Missing values are never auto-filled. That would be guessing.
Can I remove empty columns as well as rows?
Yes. Columns without a heading or data are a separate safe fix from empty rows. Columns that still contain any value are kept.
